Terms of Service

Fair terms.
No fine print traps.

Hey — we're Wrovo. We wrote these terms in plain English because we believe you should actually understand what you're agreeing to. No legalese, no hidden clauses, no surprises buried on page 47. If something here doesn't make sense, email us and a real person will explain it.

Quick note on age

Wrovo is for everyone — but if you're under 13, we need a parent or guardian to say okay first.

We follow COPPA (the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act). If you're under 13, you can use Wrovo with verifiable parental consent — we'll email your parent or guardian to get their approval before you start.

13+ years

Can use Wrovo with parental consent

18+ years

Can use Wrovo on your own

1. By using Wrovo, you agree to these terms

  • •Using Wrovo means you're okay with what's written here.
  • •If you're not okay with it, no hard feelings — just don't use the app.
  • •We may update these terms from time to time, with 30 days' notice. If you keep using Wrovo after that, we'll take it as a thumbs-up.

2. Who can use Wrovo

Age rules:

  • •18 or older: You're good to go — use Wrovo on your own.
  • •13 to 17: You can use Wrovo with a parent or guardian's okay. We'll email them to get approval. They can review, change, or delete your data anytime.
  • •Under 13: We don't knowingly collect data from kids under 13 without a parent's consent. If we find out we did, we'll delete it right away.

Parents: You can review your child's data, ask us to delete it, stop further collection, or pull consent at any time — just email privacy@wrovo.app.

When you use Wrovo, you're telling us that:

  • •You're at least 13, OR
  • •You're 13–17 and have a parent or guardian's permission, OR
  • •You're a parent or guardian setting up an account for your kid.

3. Playing nice

We trust you to use Wrovo the way it's meant to be used. That means:

  • •Giving us real, current info when you sign up.
  • •Keeping your account credentials and passkeys safe.
  • •Not using Wrovo for anything illegal or shady.
  • •Not pretending to be someone you're not.
  • •Not harassing, abusing, or harming anyone through the app.
  • •Not messing with the app's infrastructure or trying to break things.
  • •Not scraping, copying, or reselling our data without written permission.
  • •Following the laws that apply to you.

4. Wrovo Cash — your travel rewards

How it works: Wrovo Cash is our way of saying thanks for booking through us. You earn it on bookings and can spend it on travel, trip expenses, or settling up loans with your crew — at a 1.5× bonus when used for loans.

The fine print (but in plain English):

  • •It's yours, not transferable: Wrovo Cash stays tied to your account. You can't sell, trade, or give it away (except to settle a loan within the app).
  • •No cash value: You can't withdraw it as cash. It's for travel, not a bank account.
  • •It expires: Wrovo Cash expires 24 months after you earn it. We'll email you before that happens so you don't lose it.
  • •1.5× loan bonus: When you use Wrovo Cash to settle a loan with a trip member, each $1 counts as $1.50. Nice little perk.
  • •We might tweak things: We could adjust earning rates or redemption options with 30 days' notice — but we'll never reduce the balance you've already earned.

Wrovo Cash is a rewards program, not a financial product. If we ever discontinue it, we'll give you 90 days' notice and honor whatever you've earned.

5. We're not a bank

Let's be clear: Wrovo helps you track expenses, split costs, and keep tabs on who owes what — but we're not a financial institution. We don't:

  • •Hold, move, or pool your money.
  • •Act as a lender, creditor, or middleman.
  • •Guarantee that someone will pay you back.
  • •Charge interest on loans between users.
  • •Report anything to credit bureaus.

Sending Wrovo Cash to a friend: Once you hit send, it's done — transfers can't be reversed. Double-check who you're sending to.

Buy Now, Pay Later (Klarna, Affirm, PayPal): If you use BNPL for trip expenses, you're making a separate deal with that provider. Their terms, rates, and fees apply. We just show them as an option — the choice is yours.

6. Booking travel through Wrovo

  • •Who you're really booking with: When you book through Wrovo, you're booking through our partners — Duffel for flights, Travelgate for hotels. Their terms, cancellation policies, and privacy policies apply to your booking.
  • •Prices change fast: We show real-time prices, but we can't guarantee a price will still be there by the time you finish booking.
  • •How we make money: We earn referral commissions from travel providers when you book through us, and we share a chunk of that with you as Wrovo Cash. Full details in our Privacy Policy.
  • •Double-check your details: You're responsible for making sure names, dates, and destinations are right before you confirm. We can't fix typos in passenger names after the fact.

7. Flight compensation claims

What we do: Wrovo can spot eligible flight delays and cancellations under EU261/UK261 rules and help you file a compensation claim with the airline.

  • •How we get paid: We take a 25% success fee on any compensation you receive. No compensation, no fee — it's that simple.
  • •Example: €600 compensation → you get €450, we get €150.
  • •Your okay: By filing through us, you're letting us talk to the airline for you and receive the funds on your behalf. We'll send your share as Wrovo Cash or via your preferred payout method.
  • •Not every delay qualifies: Extraordinary circumstances (severe weather, strikes, security threats) can exempt the airline. We'll be straight with you about whether your flight is eligible.

8. Price alerts

  • •How it works: Save a route (origin, destination, dates) and we'll watch prices for you. We'll ping you when they drop 10% or more, or when our AI says "buy now."
  • •No promises: Price alerts are helpful, not a guarantee. Prices move fast and we can't promise a fare will still be there when you go to book.
  • •How often we check: About every 6 hours. We don't track prices in real time.

9. Passkeys & biometric login

  • •It's optional: You can add passkeys (Face ID, Touch ID, security keys) to protect sensitive actions like payments, bookings, and account changes — or skip them entirely.
  • •Your job: Keep your devices and passkeys safe. If you lose all your passkeys, you may need to verify your identity another way to get back in.
  • •We don't store biometrics: We only keep cryptographic public keys — never your fingerprint, face scan, or biometric image. See our Privacy Policy for the full story.
  • •If something goes wrong: We're not on the hook if someone gets into your account because you didn't secure your passkeys or devices.

10. Maya, your AI concierge

  • •What she does: Maya answers questions, suggests fixes, creates support tickets, and helps you navigate the app using your account context so you don't have to explain everything from scratch.
  • •She's smart, not omniscient: Maya gives general info and suggestions — she's not a substitute for professional legal, financial, medical, or travel insurance advice. For big decisions, talk to a qualified professional.
  • •She can be wrong: We do our best, but Maya might occasionally miss the mark. If something seems off, reach out to our human team at support@wrovo.app.

11. Autonomous actions (with your okay)

  • •What we mean: Wrovo can suggest time-saving actions — like rebooking a disrupted flight, filing a compensation claim, or applying a fix. But nothing happens without your explicit approval.
  • •You're in charge: You'll get an approval request (by email or in the app) explaining exactly what will happen. Approve it, reject it — your call.
  • •They expire: If you don't respond in time, the request expires and nothing happens.
  • •Your responsibility: If you approve an action, you own the outcome. We'll always give you our best recommendation, but we're not liable for things you green-lit.

12. Who owns what

  • •Wrovo's stuff: The app itself — code, design, branding, content — is ours, protected by copyright and trademark law.
  • •Your stuff: You own the content you create in Wrovo (trips, expenses, messages, photos). By using the app, you give us a limited license to host and show that content — but only to operate the app, like displaying it to trip members you've invited.
  • •Don't upload what's not yours: You're responsible for making sure you have the right to upload photos and documents. If we think something infringes someone else's rights, we may take it down.

13. If something goes wrong

To the fullest extent the law allows:

  • •Wrovo is provided "as is" — no warranties of any kind.
  • •We're not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.
  • •Our total liability for any claim won't exceed $500 or what you paid us in the last 12 months — whichever is greater.
  • •We're not responsible for travel disruptions, cancellations, or issues caused by airlines, hotels, or payment processors.
  • •We're not liable if someone in your crew doesn't pay you back — that's between you and them.
  • •We're not liable for the outcome of autonomous actions you explicitly approved.

Some places don't allow certain liability limits. If that's where you live, those limits may not apply to you.

14. Closing your account

  • •You can leave anytime: Delete your account from Settings and we'll wipe your data within 30 days — with a grace period in case you change your mind. We keep consent records for 7 years as GDPR requires. See our Privacy Policy for the details.
  • •We can close accounts too: If you break these terms, engage in fraud, or do something that harms the platform, we may suspend or close your account with 30 days' notice. For security threats or illegal activity, we can act immediately.

15. Sorting out disputes

  • •Talk first: Before any legal action, email us at legal@wrovo.app and we'll try to work it out within 60 days. We'd rather fix things than fight.
  • •Governing law: These terms are governed by Delaware state law, USA.
  • •Individual basis: Any dispute is between you and us — no class actions or representative proceedings.
